#WeMakeEvents

#WeMakeEvents was launched by PLASA in April 2020 in response to the devastating impact of COVID-19 on its members and the live events supply chain.

The campaign developed into a cross-industry collaboration of over 20 industry associations along with hundreds of companies and freelancers.

This led to the ‘Red Alert’ day of action on 11 August 2020 across the UK, followed by a global movement on 30 September 2020 involving over 25 countries. The international list has now grown to 40 countries spanning Europe, USA, South America, New Zealand and Canada.

Since then, #WeMakeEvents has continued to stage digital campaigns to ensure our incredible industry and its people are not forgotten and, importantly, raise funds for the industry charity Backup.

Behind the scenes, #WeMakeEvents communicates with government officials and lead important conversations on the future of live events and entertainment.
