After almost a decade of entertaining audiences, The Hangar was due for a major overhaul that would take advantage of the latest advances in audio visual technology. Dreamwave Group embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, driven by a commitment to push boundaries and set new standards for event spaces. With a history of excellence and innovation, Dreamwave Group brought to life an AV upgrade that matched the vision of Kesgrave Hall's co-owners to create an immersive event experience that would be remembered by all who walked through its doors.
The cornerstone of this metamorphosis are 60 DMT Alpha Series A3.9i LED panels and an Odin Audio Systems line array from DAP. As you enter The Hangar, your gaze is irresistibly drawn to the magnificent 5 x 3 m LED screen. This awe-inspiring centrepiece is complemented by two Novastar VX600 processing units working in tandem backup mode to create a seamless visual canvas that effortlessly brings events to life. The versatility of the screen is highlighted by the integration of a DMT D1 video mixer with scaler, allowing operators to navigate between inputs and unleash the magic of Resolume Arena, media servers and PTZ cameras.
But a truly immersive experience goes beyond the visual - it requires immersive sound of superior quality. Enter the Odin Line Array, which weaves a tapestry of rich, powerful audio that envelops the entire venue. Consisting of Odin S-18A subwoofers and Odin T-8A satellite loudspeakers, all masterfully managed by the Odin CL-4 Digital DSP, the audio system redefines what it means to feel the music. This innovation not only enhances the sonic journey, but also transforms the way The Hangar's space can be used, adapting effortlessly to the diverse needs of different events.
As light dances with sound to create an ambience like no other, the upgraded effects and stage lighting come into play. The Showtec product range takes to the stage with fixtures such as Performer Profile 600 MKIII, LED Light Bar 12 Pixel, Compact Pars, Shark Barrel One and Galactic 1K20 1000 mW RGB lasers working in symphony. The show is choreographed by the Infinity Chimp 300.G2 console, armed with Magic Sheet touchscreen presets that allow venue staff to effortlessly orchestrate dazzling effects.
But the magic doesn't stop there. The staging area has also been redesigned. Showgear's Mammoth Dex system takes the spotlight, offering a flexible layout that can be easily reconfigured to suit the unique needs of each event. This adaptive staging enhances the venue's flexibility and ensures that every event hosted at The Hangar is truly one of a kind.
