What is a 'Good Sound'?

As sound engineers we seem to get little commentary beyond 'Sounded good, I could hear all the words' to 'Sounded rubbish, couldn't hear the words' and little in between. This talk will explore what Burton thinks is a good sound and all that entails.

The talk will take a holistic view, covering many aspects of the engineer's role. The talk will touch on a wide range of issues that impact the work of live sound engineers, and to an extent anyone working in sound engineering, either live or in the studio.

Having experience that covers live concert touring, broadcast as well as studio work, Burton will be looking to provide some insight into achieving a 'good sound' and what it takes to be a good sound engineer! This talk will explore what is a 'good sound' and all that entails.
