Adie Barnes

Technical Manager , Lichfield Garrick Theatre & Studio

Adie started working in production lighting in 1990 at Birmingham Rep and then chief electrician at Birmingham Hippodrome prior to a long freelance career.

Blessed to work internationally on new large-scale productions; at the forefront as innovative technology and practices were developed for the mega musicals of the 90s and future. He created and collaborated on new production designs also re-creating and managing lighting projects from concept to completion.

Needing to be in one location for a while balancing home life; Adie accepted a position with the Lichfield Garrick Theatre in 2024. Adie is leading and developing the infrastructure and technical teams while completing a major lighting upgrade.
