Joe Price
Joe is a professional lighting designer based in Bristol.
Having studied MA Theatre Design at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, he was the recipient of the 2015 Francis Reid Award for Lighting Design and his work on A Woman Walks Into A Bank at Theatre503 was nominated for the 2023 Offies Award for Lighting Design.
Joe has worked extensively as a lighting designer for more than a decade, lighting over one hundred professional productions, collaborating with venues and companies including the Young Vic, Bristol Old Vic, Barbican, Bush Theatre, Welsh National Opera, Told By An Idiot, Theatre Royal Bath, Northern Broadsides, National Theatre Wales, Belgrade Theatre and Tobacco Factory Theatres, as well as transferring to New York and Shanghai.
He has also worked as a lecturer and supervisor at Bristol School of Acting, Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where he enjoys nurturing the talent of the future.
Joe is an elected director of the Association for Lighting Production and Design and is delighted to be representing them as part of this seminar programme.
