Michael works at Sterling Event Group, a leading technical production partner delivering corporate, live, and large-scale events across the UK. He leads the company’s integrated Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental strategy, overseeing ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 management systems while driving continuous improvement across both warehouse and live event operations.

His focus is on ensuring that high standards are not confined to documentation but are actively embedded in how events are planned, built, and delivered.

Michael works closely with internal teams, venues, and partners to ensure safety, quality, and compliance are adhered to.

Alongside this, he supports and drives the company’s sustainability journey, integrating environmental responsibility into both day-to-day operations and long-term strategy in a way that is practical, measurable, and achievable.

Michael is particularly interested in how the industry can collectively raise standards by sharing knowledge, creating collaboration, and driving improvements that make a real difference on the ground, not just in policy, but in practice.
