Rick co-founded Smyle Group, the award-winning events agency that became one of the UK’s most successful agencies before being acquired in 2024.
Following his exit from Smyle, Rick launched The Power of Events in 2023 to create, for the first time, a clear and unified map of the UK events industry’s seven core sectors, helping better support and showcase the breadth of opportunity available across the sector.
Under his leadership, The Power of Events has built support from hundreds of organisations across the industry and launched major initiatives including the Event Industry Insight App, the Careers Hub and the UK-wide Schools Engagement Programme.
